The never ending cycle?


Another load of coal is pushed out of the Sandaoling opencast coal mine, whilst the empties set off back into the pit as the single line clears. This rotation of trains and coal has been running continuously since the late 1950s but will end in the next two or three years as lorries and conveyors take over the work.
