Chilling out.
Just me...."chilling".
Photographed at The Pendle Inn in Barley, Lancashire.
Camera: Nikon D90.
Software: Nikon Capture NX2.
York street scene.
Photographed from Bootham Bar on the City Walls. Camera: Panasonic TZ10. Processed with Nikon Capture NX2.
Kids-in-a-box.
A digital close-up (taken using a Panasonic TZ10) of an old film-photograph / print which was originally taken in 1986 or 1987. Processed with Nikon Capture NX2.
Models: Sarah & Charlene.
Men at work.
Photographed with my new telephoto lens (Nikkor AF-S VR 70-300mm zoom) which I bought in Preston yesterday. Considering that this photo was taken hand-held through double-glazed windows I'm very pleased with the results, especially as I got it for a lot less than the "recommended" retail price.
Spot the difference.
Photographed with an Apple I-Phone and processed with Nikon Capture NX2.
Chatting up the birds.
A copy of a pre-digital photograph originally taken in 2003 on the banks of the river Ouse in York, England. The birds in the foreground are Greylag geese which have been in York since Roman times (and a few pigeons) all of which are quite used to people in this tourist town. As soon as you produce food you'll be surrounded by them within minutes.
Young love.
A copy of an old photograph which was originally taken ten years ago with one of my first, relatively low-resolution digital cameras (a 3-megapixel Olympus AZ1).
Camera: Olympus AZ1
Processed with Nikon Capture NX2.
Young witch wannabe.
I noticed this young girl (who is obviously a Harry Potter fan) a few days ago apparently trying to get her "broomstick" to fly. Photographed with a Sony RX100 compact camera and processed with Nikon Capture NX2.
Winter sunbathing, Sharjah.
For the "Archive Airings" group. Theme "Relax".
This is a digital copy of an old photograph of myself which was taken many years ago so the resolution is not too good. The original photograph was taken with a Russian Zorki 4 film camera and later copied and processed digitally with Nikon Capture NX2. This was photographed in Winter when the temperature in the UAE was "only" about 26C / 79F which resulted in all the local people complaining about the "cold" weather. In Summer the temperature could reach 49C / 120F with humidity about 90% and even the sea was warm.
