Hi Peter....the whole area is currently being renovated and will eventually form a leisure, sports and education centre known as Northlight. The gasometer is (according to the published plans) part of the development although I'm not sure what they're planning to do with it. Some of the facilities are already "up and running"....the "leisure box" (an indoor sports centre) and the adult education centre have been open for a few months now and there are plans to convert the adjacent old mill into either luxury flats or a hotel.
