Two design giants of British steam power sit side by side on shed at Grosmont on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in Yorkshire. 9f 92214 "Cock o the North" (left) is part of the BR Standard 9F Class that was the last design development in British Steam during the 1950's.
A4 60007 "Sir Nigel Gresley" (right) which is named after it's designer was a member of the streamlined A4 class designed in 1935 that holds the world steam record of 126mph set by 'Mallard' in 1938. "60007" holds the British Post war steam record of 112mph set in 1959.
