Sheep wash

An interesting structure at Symondsbury, it has been well-restored and beautifully made. The sheep would have been driven down the ramp on the right - the walls presumably allowing for hurdles to let them through one at a time. Water was let in through a sluice on the left of this picture and the sheep pushed through to come out up another ramp - seen at the top of the picture.
