Placerita Canyon Natural Area

The Placerita Canyon Natural Area is a unique east-west running canyon located on the north side of the San Gabriel mountains featuring cool, shaded oak groves and a willow and sycamore-lined seasonal stream overlooked by chaparral covered slopes.

This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and SMC PENTAX 67 1:4 45mm lens with a Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 82ø L39(UV) filter using Kodak Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
