Description | According to Joshua 6:1-27, the walls of Jericho fell after Joshua's Israelite army marched around the city and blew their trumpets. Although excavations at Tell es-Sultan, the biblical Jericho, have failed to produce data to substantiate the biblical story, I suggest the archaeologists come here. The area is appropriately full of Joshua trees and the walls? . . . Well, I hate to blow my trumpet, but yes, the walls are indeed tumbling down. ..This photo was taken by a Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar/6X7 1:4.5/75mm lens with a Zenza Bronica 82mm L-1A filter using Kodak Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop. |
