Hawk Hill


This hill was used a fortress lined with concrete bunkers defending the entry to the Golden Gate Strait in times past. Now hawks soar over the hill staging their aerobatic mating rituals during the Springtime while tourist enjoy the spectacular views of The Golden Gate and San Francisco far below.
This image was taken by a Zenza Bronica S2 medium format film camera with a NIKKOR-P 1:2.8 f=7.5cm lens and Zenza Bronica 67mm SR60•2C(R1) filter using Kodak 400TX film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
