The texture is something that seems to happen to me occasionally when I use Ilford films.
I originally attributed it to the film being very old and having been stored too warm, or a flaw in my development process.
But the odd thing is that on this roll the recently taken images had no such effect, whereas the older images (the film had sat half-exposed in the camera for a year) did show the effect.
So it's some chemical effect that I don't understand!
