A walk in the woods, William J. Bagnall Wilderness Park

William J. Bagnall Wilderness Park is only small, with a fairly short trail that loops back to the parking lot. It leads through the forest, down the forested hillside to the creek, and then back up the slope to where the cars were parked. There are lots of stairs, and down at the bottom, there is a small picnic area that has an outhouse. Always a welcome sight!
Yesterday, 8 May 2017, I was out for the day at this location. The friends I went with are specialists in things like mosses, lichens and liverworts, but also know a lot about many other things. I was expecting to see quite a few wildflowers, but all I found were three tiny Buttercups. It is the wrong time of year for mushrooms - and the birds were almost non-existent, though we did hear several singing and saw one Junco. I came away with just a handful of photos and wanted to get them on Flickr before I start on Day 6 of our trip to Trinidad & Tobago.
