Needed a dose of colour
This is a photo from my archives, taken on 17 February 2012, in the ENMAX Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo. I came across this image when I was backing-up and deleting a few more photo folders from my hard drive and thought it would add a nice splash of colour to my photostream. Hope it brightens your day : )

Stunning colours ... brilliant ... an excellent detailed macro with lots of clarity too ... maybe a Guzmania, which is in a family of the Bromeliad plants??

Thanks so much, Art! Yes, it seems to be Guzmania. Not sure, but I may have simply called previous photos of similar plants "Bromeliad", so I really appreciate your quick ID.
