Hello, kitty

Hello, kitty
Not the greatest of shots, but the only one of this Cougar that was remotely usable, taken when I last visited the Calgary Zoo, on 6 December 2012. I had just found out that the huge enclosure for the Bald Eagles and Golden Eagle had been opened up, the massive wire covering removed, and no sign of these majestic birds that I love to photograph. I asked one of the staff, that I passed a bit later, where they had moved these birds of prey, and she told me that the Zoo no longer has them! Guess I won't be getting any more beautiful close portraits of Bald Eagles, just distant shots of Bald Eagles in the wild. I guess zoos have to evolve, but I never enjoy it when familiar animals unexpectedly disappear. Posting this really just in case the Cougars disappear one day, too.
