Welcome colour on a grey day

This image was basically a black silhouette that I managed to brighten. Taken yesterday morning, when on a walk with friends in Hull's Wood and Sikome areas of Fish Creek Park. It was so gloomy and the forecast was for rain, which luckily only started just as we were getting back to the parking lot at the end of the morning. Early afternoon, it began to snow heavily and by the time it stopped a few hours later, there were maybe 4" of fresh snow in my neighbourhood - quite a winter wonderland. It's melting fast, though, so will be one huge, slushy mess today. My oldest daughter e-mailed this morning to say that they recorded 10.1mm of rain and 17.7cm of snow yesterday at the airport.
I added this link late last night (i.e. after everyone had commented!) under one of yesterday's images. Thought I'd add it again here. From the Calgary Zoo: "We have some new footage of our baby AMUR TIGER CUBS, growing steadily and now opening their eyes! Again, they won't be out for the public until sometime in June."
