Wood Duck

I'm posting today's photos at about 3:00 a.m. - because I can't sleep! So annoying, as my alarm goes off in two and a half hours ready for a day botanizing trip. Won't help at all if I'm walking all day on no, or very little sleep!
This is a heavily cropped photo of a distant Wood Duck, seen at the edge of one of the storm water ponds at Burnsmead, Fish Creek Park, a few days ago. What beautiful ducks these are!
Jim (flickr friend Garnite) - thought of you and Linda today when I was on a botany day out, south of Calgary. We were lucky enough to see a Golden Eagle flying high above our heads and being harassed by a Crow. My photos aren't fit to post on Flcikr - so here's a beautiful Wood Duck instead : ) So sorry to hear that you suffered a few problems today, but with so many people all singing out loud at their computers, Live is Life (by Opus), tomorrow should be a better day in ICU! Hang in there, Jim and Linda!!!
