Barred Owl

I've never (yet!) seen a Barred Owl in the wild, so I always go and look for this one in the walk-through aviary at the Calgary Zoo. It's one of my favourite places to be, as there are no fences/cage walls between you and the various owls. You can be standing 10' or less away from a Great Gray Owl or the Barred Owl, which is an amazing feeling! These Barred Owls have such dark eyes.
