Out of his comfort zone

This male Snowy Owl is usually standing at the back of his enclosure at the Calgary Zoo, partly hidden by a piece of driftwood, tall rhubarb and other plants. Yesterday, he actually moved a few feet, in order to reach a dead chick that had been placed there for a meal. It didn't take him long, though, to return to his favourite spot, but I did manage to get a few shots of him more out in the open. Amazing birds!
