Last of the Thistles

On the walk I went on this morning at Erlton/Roxborough Natural Area (not far from downtown), the five or so large, invasive Nodding/Musk Thistles were pulled and removed. I had been there on two previous walks this week and photographed these thistles, which are my favourite. Today, I was able to hold a pulled one up to the sky and get a plain background : ). Apparently, there used to be about 50 of these in this particular area, so the battle is being won, or so it seems so far.
