Beggarticks
My photo of Beggarticks looks very different from the photo displayed in a very good plant book. Hmmm ... I wonder if it IS the same plant. My yellow ray florets (i.e. the things that look like petals :) ) are much narrower. Note, 9th September 2007: this is not Nodding Beggarticks, but we are not sure exactly what kind of Beggarticks this is.
