Red rose

This is the only photo (plus another almost identical one) that turned out when I tried phtoographing a small bunch of red roses bought at Safeway. I had avoided buying red ones because I knew they would be more difficult to photograph - and I sure was right! I'm happy, though, that I got this one : ) If anyone has any hints on photographing red flowers, keeping in mind that I shoot on automatic (well, on P setting), I would appreciate it!
