Great Gray Owl

Great Gray Owl
Though you can't tell from this photo, it had just started snowing. I had left home in sunshine and a short time later, when I found this beautiful Great Gray Owl, the sky had completely clouded over and the snow had started to fall. This owl looks a little how I had been feeling when I noticed the first few snowflakes when I was driving - but then I saw this sight! Taken SW of Calgary on 8 April 2013.

Haha ... I do love the eyes of these Owl ... they just add to to their overall expression ... gorgeous bird and outstanding shot!!
