I'm only sleeping

A very, very cold walk along the White River the other day, toting a Mamiya M645 with 80mm lens, Adox CHS 50 film and, wisely, a tripod.
As a side note, I'm not sure what qualities are present in a film to make it "scan well," but I do see a difference with this "old style" emulsion versus what I get with, say, Kodak Portra. The scan is a bit of a letdown from the really great-looking negative, to be honest. But once I get into the darkroom, maybe the print will surprise me the other way!
