Flanking the central coast of the Sultanate of Oman, less than 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) offshore, the dry, rugged desert island of Masirah hosts one of the most important loggerhead turtle rookeries in the world.

Such fascinating and unusual finds Annemarie. The turtle skull is very impressive and the pink remains in the foreground look some something from a horror movie :-)
The fish look as if they're mummified..........and I guess that's something to do with the dry and salty atmosphere.

You've captured them in superb detail.

The link is very interesting and I was particularly impressed by the large photo that accompanied the text.

Thank you for sharing.
