Follow the track.

The Makgadikgadi Pan (Botswana salt flats) a salt pan situated in the middle of the dry savanna of north-eastern Botswana, is one of the largest salt flats in the world.
The pan is all that remains of the formerly enormous Lake Makgadikgadi, which once covered an area larger than Switzerland, but dried up several thousand years ago.

Wow...the image is thought-provoking, and then what you say about it has me sitting and thinking about the enormity of it all and the age. As well, it first appears to be snow--no that's not right....SAND...nope, wrong again...SALT? HOLY COW!! It is just remarkable to think about. Deceptively simple but surprisingly effective. I really like the patterns and textures in the salt, and the wanishing point at the end of the tyre tracks. I also like the pastel sky with the hint of colour along the horizon.
