Charing Cross Road

London is currently in a frenzy of demolition-construction. Crossrail is one of the excuses, the looming Olympics another... It feels a bit as if developers have been let loose and are relishing the opportunity to just brign everything down to the ground.... Unfortunately, most of what replace the old is - to my mind - not quite up to much.... I shall do a little series on these horrible glass cubes that they call shops that are springing up everywhere....
