I don't remember us having that many sunny days so far this year! There I go again mentioning the weather :-) But, this was a glorious day. More like this, please :-)

This is a view from The Temple of Concord & Victory. On this day, unusually, the Temple was open to visitors. And, that gave the opportunity to stand in the doorway and include more of the columns and the Valley beyond :-)

Having a few Internet Connection problems at the moment. So, if I disappear for a while that will be the reason :-(

Looking down the Octagon Lake from the Palladian Bridge.
A shot from last Autumn :-)

I do tend to use a soft focus effect fairly often..........maybe too often sometimes :-)
But, I thought it worked here :-)

From the National Trust website -
"Owned by one family for almost 350 years, whose story takes in royal visits, family feuds and debt, Stowe is a breathtakingly beautiful creation of the 18th century. It's also one of the first and foremost of the great English landscape gardens. It reflects the work of two people in particular: Lord Cobham and his nephew, Earl Temple."

I am very grateful to the 'peoples' in my shot for wearing red and pink :-)
You can stay in the Gothic Temple on the hillside. Mind you it is very expensive but would be an amazing experience!! I think a 3-night stay costs something over £1,000.00.

This is an oldish shot where I have made some very minor enhancements in Photoshop. I also thought some soft focus was a good idea :-)))
The Palladian Bridge, in the foreground, was completed in 1738 probably under the direction of James Gibbs.
The Gothic Temple in the distance was designed by James Gibbs in 1741 and completed about 1748. This is the only building in the Gardens built from ironstone.

Have been trying icm on human peoples with limited success or outright failure!
I am not sure where this one sits between “failed” and “must try harder” :-)))

This wooden bridge allows you to cross part of the Octagon Lake without getting your feet wet :-)
You can then follow the path to the Palladian Bridge in the distance.
