Fantastic, I imagine walking along this path and arriving directly at the foaming waves...
I love "The Gael", I think it was the theme of the "Last of the Mohicans"? HFF Roger (I'm quite late this night ;-))

That is brilliant that you know about "The Gael" and "Last of the Mohicans". Yes it was the theme tune. Have been so very fortunate to have seen Dougie In Concert very many times and to have pretty much all his recordings :-) That's alright about being "quite late" but you haven't been ever so late and not as late as I can sometimes be :-)

I loved the book, the movie and the music of the "Last of the Mohicans", so I checked who the musician was, and this was the first time I heard about Dougie... And I'm also a real night owl;-)) Wishing you a sunny weekend.☼☼

I can be a real night owl too. It's 02:30hrs here!! And, I am still messing about on my laptop! Dougie lives in Scotland and I guess it was in the 1970's that first saw Dougie play at a very small music venue where I live here in Aylesbury. A great decision because have been a lifelong fan. And, it's brilliant that Dougie would quite often come down to England to play concerts :-)

Super shot Rog. I share your love of Dougie MacLean's music, have quite a few of his CD's 'on the shelves'. Had the pleasure of seeing him 'live' at the Y Theatre in Leicester, some years ago now. An autographed poster for his 'Riof' album hangs proudly on a wall :)

Fine approach to the coast! The path seems somewhat slippery and steep to return uphill. Those stakes in the water must have a purpose, probably more noticeable in the ebb-tide. Belated HFF, Roger!

Thank you, Dimas. Yes, I had to be careful here not to slip over!!! I wasn't so much worried about me BUT very concerned for the camera :-))) The "stakes" are called "Groynes". They are generally structures built perpendicularly from the shore, stretching out into the sea. They’re usually made of wood, rock, or sometimes concrete and metal. They protect the beach and the coast from erosion.
