Happy Fence Friday, All.

The Beecroft Building is one of the buildings forming part of the Department of Physics, University of Oxford. The building is named after its part-funder Adrian Beecroft. The building is specifically focused on theoretical, condensed matter and quantum physics. It was officially opened on 17th September 2018.

The building provides high quality office space for theorists above ground and state-of-the-art laboratories below ground. Architects Hawkins\Brown worked closely with contractors lead by Laing O'Rourke and the department to create a building for the next generation of Physics.

Thanks very much, Christa. That's interesting what you say because some while ago I took some close-up shots here. When I looked at one of them later it did actually look like a row of books. I wanted to take some similar shots but despite walking around and around the building I couldn't work out exactly where I took the shot from :-))

Beautifully captured and thank you for th information Roger. In thumbnail this caught my eye as it has the look of giant bookshelf, maybe in the plush library of a stately home. I know my imagination runs away with me but the design made me think that way, the colours being rich like mahogany.
