Hair Care...
A friend of mine and I had the idea to go to our World-Bird-Park in Walsrode again (c. 40 min by car from Bremen) - finally we went with five people. We had a great time, it's a wonderful park and I can really recommend it to people who like birds.
This guy was very busy with his plummage. He looks very single on this photo but there wer at least ten more birds standing around in this area.

Thor Holding the Clouds
Can you see him?
It was quite funny: The next day, when I had to go back to Bremen, it started to rain while I was walking to the bus station. - So I said, 'pleeeeease, could you just hold on for a little while so that I won't get totally wet?' Shortly after that this cloud appeared in the sky looking like a man holding back the clouds. And - it stopped raining. Even the sun came through. So it was a nice drive back to Aarhus with gorgeous skies and a sunny, very Danish landscape. But the moment I arrived in Aarhus, the clouds burst in enormous showers. Unfortunately the train wasn't unter the roof - and I had a very slow woman in front of me. I am sure Thor had a big smile on his face - I was soaked in seconds. :))

But the summer house is already booked again for next year. :))

With Some Luck...
... you can even find some nicer artefacts...
A friend of my friend told us about some amber he found at the beach of an island nearby. And this was what he showed us. Absolutely rare and actually he should give it to the museum... On the other hand I can understand that you don't want to give away your talisman... The friend of the friend of my friend found another piece like this. ;)) Most likely these pendants belong to the Neolithic Period (Late Stone Age), too.

Some Archaeological Finds
My friend found several Neolithic flint scarpers at the beach ... I have to admit that I am quite blind when it comes to this stone stuff... And I got a headache after c. 20 minutes scrutinizing the gravel. ;))
These Stone Age tools come from a Neolithic settlement that was flooded already in ancient times. Now the tide washes up these artefacts; usually stone objects like these ones but also nicer ones.
