San Francisco: Mt. Davidson
As you near the top of Mt. Davidson, you begin to see glimpses of a huge monument on top. The trees and undergrowth are so thick that you can only see bits of something but nothing distinct. At last, the top of the trail brings you to this amazing vantage-point, where you can finally see the entire cross! Doesn't it appear to be fairly small? Do not be fooled! I am very far away at this point, and…

The house I was raised in is the second one down on the left. This image was taken during my trip to San Francisco during September 12-15, 2011.

My Childhood Home in San Francisco

This is where I lived until I was about 26 years old. My father still lives here and now has a roommate who lives in my old room. Laura has become one of my very best friends! This image was taken during my trip to San Francisco during September 12-15, 2011.

Tiny Rosemary Blossoms
My mother planted many rosemary bushes in our front yards many years ago and now they are like small trees! These tiny flowers are only about .35" in size! This image was taken during my trip to San Francisco during September 12-15, 2011.
Eucalyptus Forest
Ivy Climbing up Eucalyptus Tree

One of the amazing things about this eucalyptus forest is all of the ivy which climbs up the trees. It will climb up and completely cover entire trees! This image was taken during my trip to San Francisco during September 12-15, 2011.

I've just returned from my trip to San Francisco to visit my father! I'll be posting many, many images from this trip! (If you are interested, I've uploaded 11 pictures in this batch, which include pictures of my childhood home!) I appreciate all of your comments everyone, thank you so much!! :) I hope you enjoy the show!
This is a classic image of how I view one of my favorite places in San Francisco. Mt. Davidson is a large park area behind our home, and it's covered with Eucalyptus trees. It is foggy most of the time, and this image is what I think of when visualizing this place.

Eucalyptus Forest with Ivy-Covered Trees
By the time I left San Francisco years ago, I was really tired of anything about this city, including Mt. Davidson. However, now that I have a camera, I cannot believe how beautiful it is up here. I had a hard time restraining myself from taking pictures every five feet of yet another cool looking ivy-covered tree or foggy view through the forest!

Eucalyptus Leaf
As I was making my way up the trail to the top of Mt. Davidson, I found a large boulder with splotches of lichen growing on it, and two perfect Eucalyptus leaves, one on each side! I didn't place either leaf, this is photographed as I found the leaf, and I didn't even clean up the area! (The other leaf picture will be uploaded tomorrow.)

Grass-Covered Rocks
I have been all over Mt. Davidson and there are about two places where this long, tough grass grows. I've always thought it was really neat looking...what do you think?! :D

I'm not sure what vegetable this will be! This image was taken during my trip to San Francisco during September 12-15, 2011.
Mt. Davidson Cross Disappearing into the Fog
I am very far away at this point, and the trees you see near it that seem so short actually tower above anyone standing underneath! This cross stands 103 feet tall! If you would like to know more about this cross, this Wikpedia page will tell you everything you want to know! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Davidson_%28California%29

Sutro Tower Through the Fog

The fog was so heavy today that I could only glimpse the Sutro Tower from atop Mt. Davidson! This image was taken during my trip to San Francisco during September 12-15, 2011.
