Pictures for Pam, Day 121: Lovely Poppies

(+4 insets!) (Please view large!) :)
This morning at 2am began this year's Daylight Savings Time…HOORAY for another harbinger of spring!! What's funny is that Steve and I were caught totally off-guard. Neither one of us realized that the time had changed except that for some reason the day seemed to be going by awfully fast! I mean, I get caught up in my photography and hours just disappear but somehow a whole hour disappeared and I didn't figure it out until Steve sent me a text!
Spring really is stretching its wings around here. In the course of about 3-4 days it's gotten sunnier, warmer, and the energy outside is amazing! It's like the plants know they're behind and so they're growing like crazy! I have now seen four different flowering plants…Whitlow Spring Grass, Saxifrage, a Buttercup, and I saw a bunch of lovely blue Bird's Eye Speedwell flowers too. Petite little beauties! I'm so happy for this change in the season, it's so exciting!
In celebration of the gorgeous day, I'm sharing a picture of a poppy I grew back in 2014. I had a lovely garden that was overflowing with colorful poppies and other flowers too. It was quite a sight and I was so delighted that the bees and other insects were crazy about my garden too. I could hear the bees before I even entered the garden!
I'm also including pictures the flowers so far in bloom on our property: Whitlow Spring Grass, Bird's Eye Speedwell flower, Saxifrage and a Buttercup! :)
Pam, I looked on your stream for a pretty flower to appreciate and found this gorgeous cluster of golden crocus! They are just so lovely. I also picked that image because as Steve and I were driving home a couple of days ago, I saw a garden with what looked like 100 of these beauties! Well, someday I hope to live in a place that doesn't have critters that eat every crocus I plant! Here's hoping your mood and outlook is as bright and beautiful as the day has been! *HUGGGGGGSSSSS*!!!
