Tattered Black Oak Leaf Caught on the Way Down

As unlikely as it may seem to find a leaf caught on the way down to the ground, it's actually not terribly uncommon. Especially when there are conditions which raise the probability of it happening, like tall, stiff grass and bushes with twigs close together. I think that on my walks, I could probably take pictures of 50 of them...but if I were to knock them all down, I bet that number would drop to about 25 or less the next day. Needless to say, it's still an amazing thing to see, and because they are usually vertical to the ground, they often catch the light perfectly and light up like beacons to point themselves out. I never tire of them and must resist the temptation to take pictures because I have so many already!
