Beside the Pacific Crest Trail about 2 miles south of Echo Summit, in California's Sierra Nevada. This is another tree high above its usual range that has grown exceedingly large--I couldn't fit it all in the frame. The inset shows the scale! Elevation here is a bit less than 8200 ft (~2500 m).
