And environs. Site of the famous observatory, now over a century old and still carrying out cutting-edge research. There are also lots of hiking and nature trails in and around the grounds. Mt. Wilson lies in the San Gabriel Mountains, defining the north edge of the Los Angeles basin, and much of the area is still de-facto wilderness.
