CA - Mojave River
Folder: California
The Mojave rises in the San Bernardino Mountains of southern California and flows northeastward out into the Mojave Desert. It's usually dry along most of its length, except where shallow bedrock forces water to the surface. Afton Canyon, the most spectacular such place, is in its own album.
Mojave River
Not in flood today! ;) But at least there's some water-- Flowing toward Barstow, CA, and points east. This is from the bridge on the way to the new exurban development of Silver Lakes. A rather improbable place for waterfront development--the houses front on two small artificial lakes.
