CA - Mt. Lowe trail

San Gabriel Mountains, southern California, from the trailhead off the spur road to Mt. Wilson. Farther on, the trail runs along an old railroad grade, the Mt. Lowe Railway, which ran excursions into the San Gabriels in the early 20th century. It would have been a spectacular--and hairy!--train ride!

Mt. Lowe Trail, San Gabriel Mountains, southern California, in the Angeles National Forest at the Eaton Saddle trailhead. Actually, I think it's good they put up warning signs rather than closing the trail...
