Southwest of Lake Tahoe, and separated from it by a low sill. It's the second-largest lake in the Tahoe basin--but it's a very distant second! Still, it's photogenic in its own right.

Just southwest of Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada of California. The distant mountains are across Lake Tahoe, and partly in Nevada. This is a natural lake in a glacial basin that's separated from Lake Tahoe by a low sill. Map position is approximate due to the loss of the "satellite view" functionality!
