Utah - Navajo Lake

A natural lake east of Cedar Breaks and north of Zion. A hiking/biking/horse trail goes completely around the lake. The lake was formed when the valley was dammed with a young basalt flow. There have been subsequent human modifications; in particular, the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) built a dike across the lake in the mid-30s to regulate its level.
