Fossil Log
George W. Lund Petrified Forest, Washoe Co., Nevada, USA. Administered by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management.) Associated with Tertiary ash-flow tuffs. The logs right off the graded road are in chain-link cages, but most are just out in the open. Btw, paleontologists these days just refer to "fossil" rather than "petrified" wood.
