NNevada - Ruby Mountains

A range in northeastern Nevada, Elko County, that is a mini "Sierra Nevada." It is high enough to have been glaciated, and still supports a surprising number of lakes and streams. The bedrock is also granite and metamorphic rock, as in the Sierra. A road runs up a long glacial canyon, Lamoille Canyon, to a trailhead and campground. Lamoille has been called, deservedly, "Nevada's Yosemite."
