Bishop (CA) district, in California's Sierra Nevada. A major tungsten producer, and still technically just "mothballed." IIRC it is the largest known tungsten deposit in the US. This set also includes pix of some older equipment and ruins, the old mining camp of Scheelite (whose name also gives some idea of what they were mining!)
