In Gold Butte National Monument, at the southeastern corner of Nevada. This is an outcrop of the red sandstone unit (Aztec/Navajo) that also forms Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire in Nevada, and such iconic sites as Zion and Glen Canyon on the Colorado Plateau. It's where the (nominally) paved road going into the Monument loses its pavement.
