Another one of those generic names-- This Silver Lake is a small reservoir lying in the vague, very northern end of the Sierra Nevada, California. The Pacific Crest Trail is following the crest on the skyline, and there's a trailhead here that accesses it. I liked the reflections! The inset shows another view--I couldn't decide which was better. The trail also accesses Bucks Lake Wilderness--Bucks Lake, in case you're wondering, is another reservoir on the far side of the skylined ridge.
