A prehistoric fish?

Guarding the trail on the left! Off the Needle Rock trail, in the Painted Hills north of Reno. Looking southeast; Pyramid Lake in the background. We're just off the Rez here; in fact, we bought a permit from the tribe so we could park where we did!
