Washoe Lake during a spell of calm! Conditions were a bit different than a couple of days previously (inset). The largely snowcapped mountain just left of center is Slide Mountain in the Carson Range.

What a beautiful place. Your street map location is off, though. I've noticed the same thing but am not sure the GPS in my camera is wrong or the mapping app.

Thanks for pointing that out, Ron. I've updated the positions--the one on the inset wasn't nearly as far off. I think the glitch must be in the camera, as I've seen inaccurate (and completely bogus!) positions at other times. Maybe the GPS receiver in my phone is flaky.
