Bristlecones

Bristlecones
Pinus longaeva. Looming over the viewing platform and showing the characteristic droopy "bottlebrush" twigs. This is a stand on the Virgin River Rim in southern Utah, at about 10K feet, just off Utah State Route 14.

I saw those once several years ago, but last time I was up to Cedar Breaks I couldn't find them.

The trailhead isn't well marked but it's still there (or at least it was last September), right near Cedar Pass. I've got it geotagged.
