Peter Grubb Hut

Newly rebuilt and retrofitted, complete with solar panels! The Peter Grubb Hut is a few miles north of Donner Summit in California's Sierra Nevada, just off the Pacific Crest trail. It's not accessible by car. Hikers and horsefolk can stay there, though--now by reservation, but in the old days it was first come, first served. The inset shows another view.
