Tamarack Lake, Ralston Lake

Tamarack Lake, Ralston Lake
Tamarack Lake (another one!) in front, Ralston Lake behind. Framed by Sierra junipers. Off the Pacific Crest Trail near Echo Lakes, California, looking south. At present (Aug 29 2021) this view is completely obscured by dense smoke from the Caldor fire. But at least the bare granite makes a good firebreak!

Thanks, Dennis! Looking south; Tamarack Lake (one of the many) in the foreground, Ralston Lake behind. Hopefully that granite slope beyond will act as a firebreak for the Caldor Fire. Right now you couldn't see this view; the smoke would be so thick the air quality is in the hazardous range!
