Downtown Washington

The mining camp on Washington Creek in the Toiyabe Range, Nevada, that is! It was active intermittently from the 1860s into the early 20th century, with exploration continuing to the present. There is also evidence that Mexicans or Spanish worked the area beforehand. The ores were low-grade silver-lead deposits.

Per Nevada Bureau of Mines & Geology Bulletin 99B (1984), the Washington district was first organized in the 1860s, and there was activity by Mexicans and/or Spanish even before that, but there was production intermittently into the early and mid 20th century. So this could be 19th century, but some of the other buildings are probably newer.
