Truckee River

In its canyon downstream from Reno/Sparks, Nevada, USA, on its way to landlocked Pyramid Lake. Looking west (upstream). Interstate-80 (barely visible beyond the river) and the original transcontinental railroad route also parallel the Truckee thru this canyon. The contrast between the river and the surrounding desert is striking.
