Crossing the Bridge

Submarine in the opened gate in the Hood Canal Floating Bridge, Washington state, USA, on the way to the US base at Kitsap-Bangor. The Hood "Canal" is a natural fjord, despite its name which was conferred by explorer George Vancouver. Evidently the Hood Canal Bridge is one of very few floating bridges worldwide that crosses salt water.
